A belief transformed into a fact

The formula I have set says: “The world has its outside”. No one can prove that it is true or not. Imagine a crowd of ants, who have no idea of the space above, nor any procedure to determine whether it exists or not. Such a “philosophical” matter will not be the business of most of the ants who enjoy or struggle in their everyday life on the surface of the earth.

Suppose that in the history of ants an exceptional ant called “A” turned up. By having had a revelation or attained enlightenment for himself, A came to believe that the space above the earth exist and began to preach to the crowds of ants about the above. At first no ant listened to him. The Queen and her officers decided to arrest him for revolt against the ant society. A and his followers hardly escaped the chase of the Queen’s army when the pond before them suddenly devided apart to reveal the dry bottom. They hurriedly ran through it to reach the shore beyond and looked back to find the enormous wave attack over the chasing ants and no one of them alive. Or another version of story tells that A was not only a prophet but a tallented commander. He led his small army and defeated the allied force of all tribes of ants, and finally took over the capital nest.

After a series of events like that, follower ants gradually increased in number. They tried to believe and live their daily lives on the premise that the space above really exists. If they occasionally felt that the premise brought something new, something fantastic, something amazing, then a belief in the space above would transform into an objective fact.

The outside of the world can be classified into two categories depending on whether it has one focal point or none. Monotheism ––– Islam, Christianity, and Judaism ––– is related to the former category, where the “focal point” is called Allah, God, or Yahweh, respectively. On the other hand, Buddhism is a religion of the latter.
